The player cannot become a zombie, but it is stated that people who die for any reason become zombies, like in the movie.
The zombies themselves appear in many varieties (regular, ones armed with a melee weapon, crawlers, puking ones, screamers that summon other zombies, and poisonous, exploding ones) and each takes a different number of hits to kill, which varies upon the difficulty setting of the game. This can very effectively save the player so as to make an escape. The zombies' jaws, heads, arms, forearms, and legs can be shot or chopped off by the player. Some weapons are capable of dismembering the zombies, whilst other weapons are not. Players can use a variety of either melee weapons or firearms to fight through the zombie hordes. Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green utilizes traditional first-person shooter gameplay. Jack later learns about the existence of a safe-haven located within the city, and makes it his priority to reach it. After finding the other nearby farms desolate, he makes his way to the city, hoping to find help, but instead finding the city in ruins, overrun by the undead. Players take on the role of a farmer named Jack, who, one day, finds his farm besieged by the undead. The music that plays during the minigame is nearly identical to "Dso_Despair Syndrome" from Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. The game is a prequel to the Land of the Dead film, taking place during the initial outbreak of the zombie pandemic.Well then, I'll just open the door!Ĭompleting the minigame rewards the player with 100 Monocoins and the exclusive Monopad theme "Death Road of Despair" (Number 28). Hm, it seems Shuichi is in his own head, getting himself pumped up. I'll get out of here, and become friends with everyone.
Finally, Kaede, I was able to make your wish come true. We can finally get out! We Ultimates worked together and made it all the way here!įinally. R-Really!? Are you serious!? The other side of this door is the outside world? After walking through that awful tunnel that seemed infinite, we finally reached it. Note: Kaede Akamatsu and Rantaro Amami are not present in this version due to being executed and murdered respectively, as well as Maki Harukawa who refuses to leave guarding her Research Lab for the duration of Chapter 2. The ending dialogue conversation between them is mostly unique, however, nothing else about the ending nor the rewards change.
If the player managed to complete the full game in Chapter 2, they will receive a bonus scene featuring Shuichi Saihara talking to Monokuma. Now then, congratulations on graduating! Please take flight and re-enter society! Ah-hahahahahahaha! What's with that face? This is the ending you guys were hoping for. Beyond this world, there has to be something that's even more amazing! If I think of it like that.then this is just a new beginning. W-We finally did it! We can get out! We worked together as Ultimate students and finally made it out!īut that's not the end for us, is it? After we get out, we're all going to stay friends. And on the other side, the outside world you guys have been so desperate to see! Yep! Monophanie said so, didn't she? There is indeed an exit. R-Really? The outside world is just beyond this door? I-I can't believe you guys actually beat that escape game on the hardest difficulty.!
No matter which characters were alive at the end of the minigame, it is always Kaede featured in this scene. Monokuma congratulates Kaede on completing the minigame and rewards her by unlocking the vault door to the outside world (reminiscent of the "Escape Button" bonus scene available in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc), allowing her and the other students to escape. If the player managed to complete the full game in Chapter 1, they will receive a bonus scene featuring Kaede Akamatsu talking to Monokuma. It removes any character that has died previously or are otherwise unavailable for story-based reasons.
It is possible to play this game in every chapter on Free Time. It is considered extremely difficult to complete. This process will continue until the full minigame is completed, or all of the students are "dead". If Kaede is harmed by any obstacle, she is knocked off the screen and unplayable, then replaced by another random character. The minigame starts out with Kaede Akamatsu leading the other 15 students towards an exit while dodging obstacles such as gaps and bombs.
